Director, Public Policy

Travis Fruhling joined the Alpine Group as a Staff Assistant in December 2022, specifically assisting the firm and clients on transportation, infrastructure, and the appropriations process. Travis previously interned with the Alpine team for two different semesters. In May of 2023, he graduated summa cum laude from The Catholic University of America in May 2023, with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest academic honor society in the country.

Travis was promoted to Director of Public Policy in December of 2024. In this role, Travis advises clients on broader strategies under the policy realm of transportation, infrastructure, defense, homeland security, and appropriations. This includes legislative analysis, policy research, navigating funding opportunities, and developing strategies for proactive engagements across the political landscape. Additionally, Travis manages all aspects of the appropriations process at Alpine, including the building of requests, tracking submissions, and monitoring of client’s progress.

Originally from Harford County, Maryland, Travis now lives in Arlington.
