Alpine Group Welcomes Taylor LaJoie, Trump White House Legislative Affairs Special Assistant

Also a Veteran Congressional Aide, LaJoie’s Addition Bolsters Lobbying Firm’s Executive and Legislative Branch Expertise

Washington, D.C. – The Alpine Group – a bipartisan, bicameral consulting firm in Washington, D.C. – announced today that Taylor LaJoie has joined the firm as Vice President. LaJoie brings rare, firsthand experience spanning the Trump White House, the U.S. Senate, and the U.S. House of Representatives, further strengthening Alpine's ability to guide clients through today's high-stakes legislative and regulatory environment at a critical moment in Washington.

LaJoie joins Alpine directly from the White House Office of Legislative Affairs, where he served as Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs as a Senate Liaison under President Trump. In that role, he was the primary White House liaison to the Senate Committees on Appropriations, Budget, Finance, and Small Business, and represented the Administration in strategic negotiations during consideration of the FY2025 Budget Resolution and the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. He regularly authored policy and strategic memoranda for President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and senior White House leadership.

"Few in Washington have had a seat at the table in the White House, Senate, and House during some of the most consequential legislative moments in recent history. We’re thrilled to be adding Taylor to Alpine ahead of a consequential political year," said Keenan Austin Reed, CEO and Managing Principal of The Alpine Group. "Our clients need advisors who know how decisions get made at both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue and who know the policy levers to pull on the issues that matter. Taylor has that mix of experience and we know our clients and colleagues will benefit greatly from him joining our team."

Prior to his White House service, LaJoie served as Legislative Director in the Office of Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) where he was the Senator's chief advisor on legislation, amendments, nominations, and Senate floor procedure across five committees, including Finance and Budget. Before that, he served as Senior Legislative Assistant in the Office of then-Senator JD Vance (R-OH), managing the Senator's portfolio on the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee and authoring legislative amendments that were enacted in the 118th Congress.

"The issues that affect people’s everyday lives, including their pocketbooks, are front of mind right now for good reason. I can’t wait to bring my experience in the White House and Congress to work for our clients – helping guide them through the process and shaping their strategies, " LaJoie said. "The team at Alpine is Washington’s best. I look forward to putting even more wins on the board for those who rely on our counsel."

LaJoie also brings deep tax policy expertise, having worked as a Federal Policy Analyst at the Tax Foundation and as a Legislative Correspondent in the Office of Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), where he played a role in negotiating inclusion of the Rubio-Lee Child Tax Credit in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. He holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University.
