Her signature skills include building coalitions, crafting winning influence strategies, and translating complex political dynamics into clear business opportunities.
Prior to leading Alpine, Keenan served as a Chief of Staff to two Members of Congress and an At-large D.C. Councilmember, gaining deep insight into legislative strategy at both the federal and local levels. She also served as national political director for the 2016 Hillary Clinton Presidential campaign. An Atlanta-native, Keenan is a prominent civic leader, dedicating her time and expertise to mentoring and developing young and mid-career leaders across the nation. Her philanthropic contributions have been recognized by the country’s leading organizations, including the United Negro College Fund and U.S. Black Chambers, Incorporated.
As board chair and co-founder of the Black Women's Congressional Alliance (BWCA), she has built the nation's largest talent pipeline for Black women entering and transitioning out of Capitol Hill, growing it from zero to more than 1,000 members. Through this platform for empowerment, advancement, and influence, she has shaped the next generation of Black women leaders in public service.
Her board service includes the SOME Corporate Advisory Board (Vice Chair), Women's Congressional Policy Institute (Vice Chair), GlobalWIN (Vice Chair), and the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Corporate Advisory Council. Keenan also serves on the board of the Public Policy Holding Company, a family of premier advisory firms specializing in government relations, public affairs, and strategic communications. Keenan Austin Reed

Les Spivey joined the Alpine Group after serving as a Senior Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations. As President of the Alpine Group, Spivey focuses on funding issues before Congress and the administration.
In Congress, Spivey coordinated the Chairman's federal funding priorities for Mississippi across twelve annual appropriations bills. He also played a key role in securing federal funding for the Gulf States following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
Earlier, Spivey worked on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security during the Department of Homeland Security's formation, helping craft its first two annual appropriations bills. He oversaw budgets for the TSA, Science and Technology Directorate, and Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection Directorate. Prior to this, he served on the Subcommittee on Agriculture, overseeing budgets for university research and rural development.
Before federal service, Spivey worked at Ketchum Public Relations Worldwide, coordinating a national public affairs campaign across 38 Congressional Districts. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from the University of Mississippi and was a John C. Stennis Congressional Fellow for the 109th Congress. He resides in Alexandria with his wife, Beth, and their three children.

Les Spivey

Jason Schendle joined the Alpine Group with a focus on energy and environment policy. Before this, Schendle served as a Washington Representative for the American Petroleum Institute (API), specializing in exploration and production issues. At API, he was the point person for the Gulf of Mexico Security Act of 2006, royalty relief issues, and represented API in a coalition addressing Outer Continental Shelf matters.
Prior to API, Schendle spent nearly nine years with Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) as her primary advisor on energy, environment, agriculture, and energy-related tax issues. As Legislative Counsel, he advised on the Energy Policy Act of 2005, which established the $1 billion Coastal Impact Assistance Program, and the 2002 Farm Bill.
At Alpine, Schendle advises clients on legislative and regulatory strategy, PAC contributions, and Congressional testimony preparation. His portfolio spans trade associations and companies without Washington-based Government Relations offices. He has strong bipartisan and bicameral relationships and a deep understanding of the legislative process.
Schendle has played key roles in legislative efforts, including the Energy Policy Act of 2007, the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, the Pipeline Safety Act of 2011, and the RESTORE Act of 2012.

Jason Schendle

Cornell Teague provides strategic advice and advocacy on the federal budget and appropriations processes, with a focus on the intersection of national security and fiscal policy. He joined the Alpine Group in 2017 after seven years as a Professional Staff Member on the House Appropriations Committee, including three years with the Defense Subcommittee. There, he oversaw the Department of Defense’s operations accounts, managing an annual expenditure exceeding $250 billion across the Services and Defense-Wide agencies.
Before working with the Defense Subcommittee, Teague served on the Homeland Security Subcommittee, focusing on cybersecurity and transportation security budgeting. He began an Appropriations Committee career as an aide to then Full Committee Chairman Hal Rogers. While on Capitol Hill, he participated in the 114th Congress’ John C. Stennis Fellows Program for Public Service.
Teague is a frequent guest lecturer on discretionary spending, speaking to universities, businesses, organizations, and civil servants. He also served in the White House under President George W. Bush at the Homeland Security Council and USA Freedom Corps. Teague holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from George Mason University. He lives in Virginia with his wife and two children.

Cornell Teague

Alison Graab is a seasoned policy expert who joined the Alpine Group from the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations, where she served as clerk/staff director for the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD). In the Senate, Graab was the key transportation policy expert for the “Group of 10” Senators negotiating the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
On the Appropriations Committee, Graab oversaw more than $160 billion in annual budgetary resources and led the reinstitution of congressionally directed spending for THUD after a decade-long hiatus. She worked closely with the Subcommittee’s Ranking Member to draft appropriations bills, manage spending requests, and analyze agency budget proposals.
Before this, Graab served on the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, where she was policy director for the Surface Transportation and Oceans Subcommittees.
Earlier in her career, Graab was an attorney for the Surface Transportation Board, drafting decisions and rules in formal agency proceedings. She began her legal career at a Washington law firm, representing clients on energy and environmental issues.
Graab holds degrees in Earth and Atmospheric Science and International Affairs from Georgia Tech and earned her law degree from William & Mary.

Alison Graab

Barry Brown, Principal, brings over 30 years of legislative, political, and professional advocacy expertise to the Alpine Group. He has a proven track record of advising Fortune 500 companies, state universities, and industry leaders on energy, higher education, defense, critical infrastructure, and communication issues.
Before joining the Alpine Group, Brown spent over two decades on Capitol Hill. He served as Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Kay Granger (R-TX) and Congressman Michael C. Burgess, MD (R-TX). Earlier, he was Legislative Assistant to Congressman Larry Combest (R-TX), Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee, and Legislative Director to Congressman Kevin Brady (R-TX), Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee.
During time on Capitol Hill, Brown advised on energy, telecommunications, higher education, judiciary, trade, and defense.
Brown serves on the boards of the Texas State Society of Washington, D.C., the National Republican Club of Capitol Hill, and the Executive Committee of the National Capital Area Council Boy Scouts of America. He is a former President of the Texas Tech Alumni Association’s National Board of Directors.

Barry Brown

The Honorable Greg Walden offers clients a wealth of experience and leadership, shaped by more than twenty years in the United States Congress. He represented Oregon’s Second Congressional District from 1999 to 2021 and established a reputation as a respected voice on critical national issues. As Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, he led policy efforts spanning telecommunications, energy infrastructure, consumer safety, and public health and played a significant role in addressing the opioid epidemic and improving healthcare access.
Walden’s strategic vision extended beyond policy, as he twice served as Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee. During his tenure, he helped House Republicans secure their most significant back-to-back majorities in history. Earlier in his career, Walden was elected House Majority Leader in the Oregon Legislature by his peers.
Walden and his wife, Mylene, owned and operated radio stations throughout Oregon for over two decades while also serving on the boards of local hospitals and banks. He continues to lead MSW Communications and serves on advisory boards, focusing on innovative solutions in climate change and healthcare. Walden is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Journalism, where he remains committed to community and progress.

Greg Walden

Becky Nictakis leads a team at Capitol Funding Solutions, a woman-owned small business in a structural alliance with the Alpine Group. Together, they guide clients through the federal funding capture process, helping identify and secure competitive funding opportunities.
Nictakis brings over 20 years of experience in politics, strategic planning, and fundraising. Recognizing the challenges small and mid-size organizations face in accessing federal funds, She founded Capitol Funding Solutions to provide the expertise and creativity needed to build successful grant programs. She and here team offer end-to-end services, including funding strategy development, grant identification, proposal support, and application writing.
Nictakis began a career in campaign management, PAC establishment, and fundraising before launching a business to help nonprofits rebrand, advance their missions, and raise funds. She worked with corporate foundations, schools, workforce development organizations, and arts nonprofits.
Nictakis works with businesses, local and tribal governments, universities, ports, economic development groups, and nonprofits nationwide to develop funding programs. With a strong track record across federal agencies like the Economic Development Administration, Department of Transportation, Department of Agriculture, Health and Human Services, Department of Energy, and FEMA, she secured tens of millions of dollars for programming, research, infrastructure, and capital expenses.

Becky Nictakis

Michael Haywood is a Senior Vice President at the Alpine Group, where he represents Fortune 500 companies, major international trade associations, and industry leaders on critical matters before the legislative and executive branches.
With over 25 years of public and private sector experience, Haywood has developed deep expertise in tax policy, trade, and energy financing, particularly through work with Members of the House Ways and Means Committee and the Senate Finance Committee.
At the Alpine Group, Haywood provides strategic advice on legislative and regulatory matters, crafting tailored advocacy strategies for clients. He helps clients navigate complex regulatory environments, including the Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, by identifying opportunities and anticipating challenges within evolving policy frameworks.
Haywood is known for a forward-thinking approach, creating grassroots action plans and multi-layered advocacy strategies targeting Congress and the Administration. His extensive network in Washington positions clients for success in dynamic political environments. Recognized as one of the Hill’s Top Lobbyists, Haywood has been described as “the one person who says what everyone is thinking, but is too scared to say it.”

Michael Haywood

Curtis Philp joined the Alpine Group after serving as Deputy Chief of Staff to former Congressman Lamar Smith (TX-21) and as a staff member with the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee.
On Capitol Hill, Philp was the primary staff member responsible for policy and communications in Congressman Smith’s office. He oversaw legislative and press operations, focusing on issues before the House Judiciary Committee, including intellectual property, privacy, telecommunications, technology, and immigration. He also provided counsel to the House Science Committee on intellectual property matters.
Before working for Congressman Smith, Philp served in the offices of Representatives Louie Gohmert (TX-01) and Bill Cassidy (LA-06). He began a Congressional career in the office of Senator Charles Grassley (IA).
Philp earned a B.B.A. in Management and Marketing from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Philp resides in Northern Virginia with his wife, Erin, and their daughter.

Curtis Philp

Daniel Mencher brings over 15 years of senior leadership experience in federal appropriations, budget policy, and executive branch funding decisions to the Alpine Group. His expertise spans homeland security, agriculture, environment, and foreign affairs.
Before joining Alpine, Mencher served as Staff Director for the Homeland Security and Interior & Environment Subcommittees on the Senate Appropriations Committee. He led bipartisan negotiations and oversaw multi-billion-dollar annual and supplemental funding bills, advising Subcommittee Chairs, Senate leadership, and the Full Committee on funding levels, policy riders, and operational priorities for agencies like DHS, EPA, and the Forest Service.
Earlier, as a Professional Staff Member on the Appropriations Committee, Mencher secured over $30 billion in funding across omnibus measures, covering accounts such as ICE, CBP, FEMA, TSA, and USDA programs like Rural Development and international food assistance.
Mencher also held senior executive roles, including Deputy Budget Director at DHS, where he managed ICE’s budget, as well as leadership positions at USDA and the State Department.
Mencher's career bridges Capitol Hill and the executive branch, giving him a comprehensive understanding of federal funding processes. He holds an MPA from Baruch College and a BA from UMass Amherst. Mencher lives in Arlington, Virginia with his wife and three children.

Daniel Mencher

Patrick Satalin joined the Alpine Group after more than a decade of service on Capitol Hill with then-Rep. Peter Welch of Vermont (now Senator Welch).
As Chief of Staff to Rep. Welch, Satalin oversaw political, policy, and communications operations. During his tenure, Rep. Welch served on three major committees (Energy and Commerce, Intelligence, and Oversight), covering broad economic and national interest issues. Satalin also led Rep. Welch’s work as a Chief Deputy Whip of the Democratic Caucus, collaborating with House leadership to secure votes for major legislation, including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the CHIPS and Science Act, and the Inflation Reduction Act.
Satalin also managed Rep. Welch’s successful 2022 U.S. Senate campaign, providing strategic advice and building relationships with Senators, staff, and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Satalin earned a BA in Media Studies/Communications from Catholic University and an MPA from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. Patrick resides in Alexandria with his wife, Kelly, and their dog.

Patrick Satalin

Shayne Woods joined the Alpine Group after nearly a decade on Capitol Hill, most recently serving as Senior Legislative Assistant to Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina. An entrepreneur and policy expert focused on health care and technology, he has a deep understanding of critical legislative issues. In Senator Scott’s office, he focused on health care, Social Security, retirement, budget, and commerce issues, while leading a team advising on tax, trade, aging, and education policy.
Woods worked closely with the Senate Finance and HELP Committees, securing extensions for key health care provisions. As the Senate explored artificial intelligence (AI), he ensured Senator Scott was well-informed, drawing on his expertise in emerging technologies like AI and gene therapies, as well as his experience in the challenging regulatory landscape facing innovators. Prior to joining Senator Scott’s team, Woods spent six years in the U.S. House of Representatives, including as Senior Policy Advisor to Representative Gus Bilirakis of Florida.
Before Capitol Hill, Woods founded and led FwdHealth, a health IT company that connects clients with certified fitness trainers via live video chat. He also ran a health care consulting practice advising stakeholders on the Affordable Care Act.
Woods holds a degree from Washington University in St. Louis and resides in Northern Virginia with his wife and three children.

Shayne Woods

Jenny Forrest brings a combination of Capitol Hill policy expertise and corporate strategy experience to the Alpine Group. On Capitol Hill, Jenny held a variety of roles working for Congressman Greg Walden (R-OR) before and during his tenure as Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. In these roles, she developed an expertise in the legislative and political process, working across the Congressman's personal office, his leadership responsibilities at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), and with Committee staff.
She then left Capitol Hill to pursue an MBA from Columbia Business School. Following the completion of her degree, Jenny joined PepsiCo's global headquarters as part of the North American Corporate Strategy team, focusing on sustainability. There, she played a pivotal role in embedding sustainable business practice initiatives across multiple functions, including engineering, government affairs, marketing, and corporate strategy. Her portfolio included high-profile projects such as PepsiCo's deployment of Tesla semi electric delivery trucks, navigating evolving regulatory requirements for packaging across multiple jurisdictions, and energy efficiency improvements throughout the company's North American manufacturing and distribution facilities. This work required a keen understanding of the risks posed by pending and enacted regulation on industry, while working to incorporate ambitious public facing company goals.
At the Alpine Group, Jenny leverages this unique blend of legislative, regulatory, and internal corporate strategy and implementation experience to serve clients in the energy, environment, manufacturing, and technology sectors. Jenny earned her bachelor's degree in Public Policy from the Batten School at the University of Virginia.

Jenny Forrest

Abbey Overland joined the Alpine Group with a focus on defense and national security policy, bringing experience from Capitol Hill, the Pentagon, and the private sector.
On Capitol Hill, Overland served as Military Legislative Assistant to Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee. She managed the Senator’s defense, veterans’ affairs, and foreign affairs portfolio, ensuring her priorities were reflected annually in the National Defense Authorization Act.
At the Pentagon, Overland held roles within the Office of the Secretary of Defense, including serving as the primary congressional advisor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. She helped secure congressional support for the legislative proposal that established the United States Space Force via the 2020 National Defense Authorization Act and advised Department of Defense nominees on the Senate confirmation process.
Before joining Alpine, Overland worked as an in-house lobbyist at BWX Technologies and Palantir. At Palantir, she represented the company’s defense equities on Capitol Hill, launched its Political Action Committee, and developed its political giving strategy.
Overland earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Denver.

Abbey Overland

Colin Brainard joined the Alpine Group after serving on Walmart’s Federal Government Affairs team, where Brainard worked with the Tax Department, Health & Wellness business, and Benefits team to successfully lobby Congress and the Administration on key issues, including the Inflation Reduction Act.
Prior to time at Walmart, Brainard spent over a decade on Capitol Hill. Brainard served as a tax staffer to Representatives Lynn Jenkins, CPA, and Erik Paulsen, both members of the House Ways & Means Committee, where he played a key role during the passage and implementation of the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act. He also served as Executive Director of the Joint Economic Committee, contributing to economic policy development and analysis.
In addition to his work on Capitol Hill, Brainard held roles on the staffs of Senator Richard Burr and Representative Steve Watkins. He also gained private sector experience as a lobbyist for the National Association of Chain Drug Stores. Brainard’s extensive experience in tax policy, economic legislation, and government affairs makes Brainard a valuable asset to the Alpine Group.

Colin Brainard

Erin Mendelsohn is a Vice President at the Alpine Group, specializing in healthcare policy. With 20 years of experience, she brings a deep understanding of legislative and regulatory processes from time on Capitol Hill and at the FDA, as well as expertise in navigating major policy changes from both trade association and corporate perspectives.
During a decade on Capitol Hill, Mendelsohn served as Legislative Director and Special Advisor to Congresswoman Anna G. Eshoo (D-CA). Mendelsohn played a key role in shaping landmark healthcare legislation, including the Affordable Care Act, the creation of a regulatory pathway for biosimilars, and reauthorizations of FDA user fees and the Pandemic All Hazards Preparedness Act. At the FDA, she served as Congressional Liaison for the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), bridging the goals of policymakers and regulators to facilitate bipartisan negotiations.
In 2018, Mendelsohn transitioned to advocating for biopharmaceutical innovation, first at PhRMA, where she built consensus among 35 major biopharma companies, and later in-house at Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, focusing on coalition building and corporate strategy. She earned a B.A. in Politics from U.C. Santa Cruz and resides in Washington, D.C., with her family.

Erin Mendelsohn

Taylor LaJoie brings to the Alpine Group a breadth of experience at the highest levels of government, having served as Special Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs in the White House. In this role, he provided strategic counsel as the primary liaison to Senate Committees, including Appropriations, Banking, Budget, and Finance, and supported over 30 Senate personal offices.
LaJoie has guided economic and financial policy discussions at the national level. Notably, he successfully managed nominations and confirmations, including Dr. Stephen Miran’s appointments to the Council of Economic Advisers and Federal Reserve Board, and negotiated elements of the 2025 Reconciliation bill with the Treasury Department and congressional leaders.
LaJoie served as a Legislative Director in both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives. He was the primary advisor to then-Senator JD Vance for the Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee and also advised Senator Mike Lee. He also served as a tax analyst at the Tax Foundation, authoring over 40 influential reports on tax policy.
LaJoie holds a B.A. in Political Science from Texas A&M University and an M.A. in Theological Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He lives on Capitol Hill with his wife and two children.

Taylor LaJoie

Carla Haywood serves as Chief of Staff to the Alpine Group, rejoining the firm in 2022 after an extended hiatus. Her career spans diverse roles across the public and private sectors, providing a unique perspective on organizational leadership and stakeholder engagement.
Haywood first joined the Alpine Group in 2002, bringing experience from prior roles. She began a career in the White House Visitor’s Office during President Clinton’s first term, where she gained firsthand knowledge of executive branch operations and protocol management. Haywood later worked in the U.S. Senate for Senator Jon Kyl of Arizona, developing a strong foundation in legislative processes and constituent services.
In the private sector, Haywood served as Manager of Corporate Events & Sponsorships at MCI, honing expertise in strategic event planning, corporate relationship management, and brand positioning through high-profile sponsorships.
Haywood’s blend of public and private sector experience makes her an invaluable leader at the Alpine Group, where she oversees operations and fosters strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Haywood resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, with her husband, fellow Alpine Group member Mike Haywood, and the youngest of their four children.

Carla Haywood

Lisa Gray, a Certified Public Accountant with 35 years of experience, serves as Director of Finance at the Alpine Group. Her relationship with the firm spans nearly three decades; she initially spent 27 years supporting the team as Alpine’s outside accountant before formally joining the firm three years ago.
Throughout an extensive career in accounting, Gray has developed a reputation for strategic financial insight and careful attention to detail. She oversees fiscal operations, helping to ensure the firm’s long-term stability and growth.

Lisa Gray

Hannah Schmidt, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, joined the Alpine Group after three years on Capitol Hill, where she gained valuable insight into the legislative process through her work with the House Small Business Committee.
Before time on Capitol Hill, Schmidt worked as a State Relations Assistant at the Washington Center in Washington, D.C., further developing her expertise in public policy and government relations.
Schmidt holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Dayton and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Health from George Washington University.

Hannah Schmidt

Travis Fruhling joined the Alpine Group in December 2022 as a Staff Assistant, supporting the firm and its clients on transportation, infrastructure, and the appropriations process. After interning with Alpine for two semesters, he graduated summa cum laude from The Catholic University of America in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
In December 2024, Fruhling was promoted to Director of Public Policy. In this role, he advises clients on strategies related to transportation, infrastructure, defense, homeland security, and appropriations. Responsibilities include legislative analysis, policy research, navigating funding opportunities, and developing proactive engagement strategies. He also manages all aspects of the appropriations process at Alpine.
Originally from Harford County, Maryland, Fruhling now resides in Arlington, Virginia.

Travis Fruhling

Helen Treadway joined the Alpine Group in July 2023 as a Staff Assistant, supporting the firm’s work on healthcare, energy, and environmental policy. In this role, she provided logistical coordination, administrative support, and event management.
In November 2025, Treadway was promoted to Director of Public Policy. She now collaborates with clients and policymakers, advising on strategy and conducting policy research across energy, telecommunications, technology, and healthcare sectors. Treadway also works with the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Coalition.
Treadway graduated from William & Mary in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Psychology. Before joining Alpine, she gained experience in legislative and campaign settings, working on Virginia state and local campaigns in voter outreach, events, and grassroots organizing. She also served as a U.S. Senate Doorkeeper, managing operations in the Senate Gallery and the Capitol Visitor Center, and was previously selected as a Senate Page, assisting lawmakers and staff with the daily functions of the Senate chamber.
Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Treadway now resides in Washington, D.C.

Madison Gordon joined the Alpine Group as a Staff Assistant in December 2024, supporting the firm and its clients in healthcare, energy, and commerce policy.
Gordon graduated from the University of Mississippi in May 2022 with a B.A. in Public Policy Leadership and minors in Chemistry and African American Studies. During time at Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Fraternity and served as Miss Ole Miss in her senior year. Her passion for science and medicine led her to pursue a Master’s in Medical Sciences at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, where she completed a research thesis titled “Development of a Mechanical Stress Biosensor Derived From Myocardin-Related Transcription Factor A.” While at Boston Medical Center, she worked closely with the Podiatry team, becoming a trusted resource for foot-related care.
After completing her graduate studies, Gordon interned with the Alpine Group in Fall 2024 before joining full-time.
Originally from Meridian, Mississippi, Gordon now resides in Washington, D.C.

Macey O’Malia joined the Alpine Group as a Staff Assistant in November 2025, supporting the firm and its clients on energy, environment, and technology policy. She previously interned with the Alpine team during the summer of 2024, gaining valuable experience in public policy and client engagement.
O’Malia graduated from Tulane University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science–International Relations and Environmental Studies, along with a minor in Anthropology. During her time at Tulane, she was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, recognizing her academic excellence in the field.
Originally born in Arlington, Virginia, O’Malia spent much of childhood in London, England and now resides in Washington, D.C.

Daniel Cade joined the Alpine Group as a Staff Assistant in March 2025, working alongside the appropriations team. He previously interned in the United States Senate under Senator Ben Cardin, where he worked with staff at the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe (CSCE). He contributed to policy research, briefing preparation, and day-to-day operations supporting a bipartisan commission chaired by the Senator.
During this time, Cade published weekly reports for policy advisors and staff members on the latest developments surrounding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. His interest in government began in high school, where he lobbied congressional representatives on the importance of environmental reform.
Cade graduated from Towson University in Towson, Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. Originally from White Plains, New York, he now resides in Columbia, Maryland.
